Therapeutic Areas of Interest
I am a seasoned clinician with many years of experience working with adults facing various challenging life issues. I work with individuals dealing with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, recovery from addictions, sexual identity issues and life transitions. The approach I use in my work is to provide a safe, supportive and compassionate space in which people can come to a greater understanding of themselves and a deeper sense of self-acceptance and fulfillment. I use EMDR and mindfulness practices as a supportive adjunct to the counseling process.
Why I have chosen to work at a pastoral counseling center
My interest in pastoral counseling stems from an awareness of the spiritual aspect of life. I believe the work of healing is about the integration of body, mind, and spirit. I am conscious that there is a spiritual dimension present in each person I meet. Working in an environment that supports this framework encourages its inclusion in the therapeutic process.
